I was exchanging e-mails with a new blogger and offered a couple sage words of advice, seeing as how I am a veteran at this blogging thing. (cough, cough)
Since I have had to pass this information on more than once, I figured I should just post it. And what better place than here?
Following are the links to set your blog up with Google, the Ecosystem, and Technorati.
Adding your site to Google will allow people to find you through searches, of course...here is the link to add your URL: http://www.google.com/addurl.html.
The Ecosystem tracks all links to and from your blog...I use it to see who is linking me so I can reciprocate when appropriate. Here is the link: http://www.truthlaidbear.com/addtoscan.php.
Technorati does basically the same thing as the Ecosystem, but updates a little more often. Technorati. You have to sign up for this one. It is free of charge.
