Hi! How's ever'body? Doing good, I hope.
I've got yet another tech-type question.
Everytime I post, I get an 'error' message about the pings. What it says is:
Failed HTTP error:500 read timeout
It says that for both weblogs.com and blogrolling.com.
Sooo...what does that mean and how do I fix it? (Yeah, I know that's technically TWO questions, but I only used one question mark, which is how I count it..lol. Believe me, you'd probably smack me if you were behind me iin an 'express lane' at the store.)

It has somethin' to do with resettin' somethin' in the config to 30 seconds or somethin' like that. I forget where I found that answer, but maybe someone will remember where it was written down.
Posted by: Tiger at November 19, 2003 05:22 AMIt means that both weblogs.com and blogrolling.com are busy (or dead). If they take more than 30 seconds to respond, MT gives up and gives you the error.
Posted by: Pixy Misa at November 19, 2003 05:37 AMI can make MT wait longer - but that means that you wait longer too. That's the problem with CGI applications. (And ASP/JSP/PHP apps too.)
Posted by: Pixy Misa at November 19, 2003 05:47 AMI have that problem too.
I always just keep saving until it goes through. Susie loves it when you pong her about 5 times with each post, so it works out nicely that way too. (j/k)
Okay, there, I learned something. I never knew you could save and save and resave until it goes through.
