Trying Things Out

I moved my collection of anime video clips over to the new server. Advantages: More bandwidth available, and it keeps track of it for me.

You can download some if you feel like it. Though you may also need a codec pack to play them... I should put that up there too.

Question: Why the hell have all my cursor keys, page up, page down and so on suddenly stopped working but all the other keys work fine? This fancy cordless keyboard sucks.

It's an energy conservation thing. Since you only use those keys about 4% of the time you are typing, the new EnergyStar compliant keyboards only activate them for the first 144 seconds of each hour.

Try moving the Censor-thingie to a higher or lower elevation so that its roughly at the same hight as the most common place your keyboard is. For example, mine almost always sits on my lap, and since i sit in a low papasan, i just set the censor on top of my PC so that its about even. (yeah i know thats a horrible typing position, but I aint got anything better.)

So are Trixie's Posts going to stay at the top of the recent post lists for the next hundred years? Just wondering....

wait. I said recent posts. I thought I had typed recent entries when I meant recent posts, but then I saw that I hadn't.
It's -11° F here--I think my brain cells have frozen (that's -24° C for you non-Americans)...

I'm going to do something about that... As soon as I work out what.

When we get to Minx, the Recent Posts thingy will work based on the GMT time that an entry actually appeared on a blog.

In Minx, you have a creation time, a posting time (which can be in the future, but defaults to the creation time), and an entry time (which defaults to the creation time, but can be changed if you're getting letters from your granddaughter). Also a last-modified time, and a something-else time that I can't remember right now.

But if you're not trying to do anything clever, you just see the one time, and everything works the way you'd expect.
