Trickle does!

But since you're an auxiliary, you'll need to install it yourself. :p

How often does it trickle?

Every hour on the hour, but currently only in the Saloon. If anyone else wants a trickle, let me know.

Somebody tell me what a trickle is before I start to cry and then Victor has to come to my rescue and scold you all for upsetting me....

Trickle lets you enter a post in draft mode, dated in the future, and automatically publishes it when the time comes.

I have to activate it for individual blogs, so let me know if you're interested.

Did you turn me on yet, Pixy? If so I haven't started Trickling yet. Does "Deferred" need to be the primary category or something?

Posted by Jim at March 25, 2004 07:36 PM

If you have to ask someone else if you're turned on, you're not.

Can someone fix it so that I can post to Munuviana? I somehow must have deleted my author access by accident.

I might want Trickle in the future. Right now I have bigger fish to fry. ;)

So, Jim, Jen, Susie, annika and Stephen to be trickled. And not, it's not turned on yet.

It doesn't have to be the primary category, as long as it's in the "deferred" category it will work.

There may be some issues with timezones - we shall see.

nG, you should have access to Munuviana now.

Pixy:

1:10 in the am here right now... Just checked the post I had in the queue (sp?) that was set for 2004.03.26 00:01:00... it hasn't posted as of yet... I put the post in Deferred category, assigned secondary category, saved to draft, and changed the date / timestamp to the above setting. I'm assuming at this point, that there is a timezone difference. I'll drop you another comment as soon as I see the post appear.

Thanks my friend!

Not sure if my Trickle is working at all. I had one yesterday that I put in for an 11:30 AM posting and it hadn't gone up by this morning at 8:00 AM.

I did a new one, figuring that maybe that other one didn't work because it was drafted before you turned trickle on for me. This one was to publish at 8:00 AM today and it hasn't.

Sorry, I hadn't got it installed for you. It should be working now for everyone in my list above. Also working here on Munuviana if you want to play with it. :)

Mr Pixy: 9:49 am and still no deferred post showing up. I'm wondering if I set up everything properly. If you get a chance, please check it out for me ... Thanx!

Okay, for clarification's sake:
1. I need to create a "deferred" category.
2. It will only post the entries in the "deferred" category.
3. "deferred" needs to be the primary category.

Correct?

1 & 2 are right. Deferred doesn't need to be the primary category, though.

MW - Hmm. It worked when I tried it. I'll check it out and try to see what's up.

12:20 pm in the afternoon in Texas, USA. My deferred post is now showing. Yay!

Well, that time doesn't mean anything, since it wasn't working properly. Now that it does work, we can see if there's still an issue with timezons. (There probably is.)
