The Bastards Are At It Again

Hi all.

The latest trick from the comment spammers is to include a link to a non-spam domain in their crap. Examples I've seen today include gmail.com and hotmail.com.

Please take a moment when you're blacklisting someone to make sure you're not zapping one of these domains as well.

Is Blacklist sick today?

I've been working on Stevie's site to try to clean up, and there are seceral spam comments that Blacklist is ignoring. When I enter the URL's in Blacklist, it tells me they're already there, or are shadowed by another entry, but when I ask Blacklist to de-spam, it doesn't touch the comments. WTF? Some of the comments go back awhile.

Here's an example of an afflicted post.

Any suggestions?

Paul, have you tried changing the parameters? The default is something like the last 100 comments. I usually change it to the last 3000 comments (or 3500 or however many the blog has) and ta da!

Thanks Susie... yea, I did try that (Great minds & all that!). I got all the up to 5000 with no effect. Gonna go back it try it again right now just in case Blacklist was loafing yesterday.

Paul
