Hi all.
The latest trick from the comment spammers is to include a link to a non-spam domain in their crap. Examples I've seen today include gmail.com and hotmail.com.
Please take a moment when you're blacklisting someone to make sure you're not zapping one of these domains as well.
Posted by Pixy Misa at September 5, 2004 07:27 PMIs Blacklist sick today?
I've been working on Stevie's site to try to clean up, and there are seceral spam comments that Blacklist is ignoring. When I enter the URL's in Blacklist, it tells me they're already there, or are shadowed by another entry, but when I ask Blacklist to de-spam, it doesn't touch the comments. WTF? Some of the comments go back awhile.
Here's an example of an afflicted post.

Any suggestions?
Posted by Light & Dark at September 5, 2004 10:16 PMPaul, have you tried changing the parameters? The default is something like the last 100 comments. I usually change it to the last 3000 comments (or 3500 or however many the blog has) and ta da!
Posted by Susie at September 6, 2004 05:32 PMThanks Susie... yea, I did try that (Great minds & all that!). I got all the up to 5000 with no effect. Gonna go back it try it again right now just in case Blacklist was loafing yesterday.
