New Spam IP

BTW, I don't know if this helps, but the IP of my latest mega-spammer is:

69.50.175.146

If we can ban that, it would help enormously. (He/she uses lots of different actual addresses and names.)

I'm also more than willing to upgrade to the new MT to slow these sons of bitches down, for what that's worth.

I'll second that.

I'll give that a third. I've had to disable all comments. It sucks, but so does removing hundreds of comments.

The crap should have stopped now, but I will certainly be setting up MT3 blogs for anyone who wants one.

Where's the line start?

Weird. Yesterday I was botted with 6 spams. They were from different IPs yet they had the same username.

What was that "nuclear option" again...?

In the past two days, we've blocked over 35,000 spam and crap comments.

Oy.

Line starts over there ---->

Thank you, Dear! You're wonderful. Let's see how our current systems work and then perhaps we can see about this MT upgrade. Would that have to be all of us at once, or what? Is it something you think you'll be recommending, long-term?

The past few days have been great; I think you might really have got them this time.

Also, it's lovely to go into ancient posts for "spam checks" and see that their comment threads are now closed and all is well. Thanks for that.
