Jennifer, who is a lovely lady, has a sidebar that shows what book she's currently reading complete with an Amazon link and image that I imagine she cuts and pastes every week but I am curious how to do this thumbnail and URL link. Since I am a literature whore I want to add it on my sidebar, too. Anyone know the code?
Posted by Everydaystranger at June 24, 2005 05:04 PMIt looks like she uses an actual MTPlugin. However, you can just use a code from All Consuming (http://43.allconsuming.net/). That's what I do on my sidebar. It's not as cool though...
Posted by Daniel at June 24, 2005 05:23 PMShe's on Typepad, Helen, which has a built-in widget for doing that. Given that TypePad is Movable Type-based, there should be an MT plugin out there somewhere to automate the process (as Pixy mentioned in reply to wKelly on June 18 - they're looking for the same thing.)
Were you able to find anything Pixy? I won't have time to look for a couple of days.

Posted by Light & Dark at June 24, 2005 06:22 PMWhile having the said site in front of me, I would go under "View" and then click on "Source." Scroll down to what appears to be the code for this feature, and use it as a guide to make your own books section.
I have something similar on site, but with music instead, which is odd because I read 10 books for every CD I listen to.
