I just got an email from someone who wants to comment on an old blog post. It's not spam -- just a popular search topic (Joel Osteen and Larry King), but the post is from last June.
For some reason, it says that comments are not allowed on that post. I haven't disabled comments for any posts, and you can still comment on other posts on the blog. Is it just because the post is old? Is there a way I can let people keep commenting?
Thanks
Warren

All old posts are locked to prevent spam. Unfortunately, there's no easy way to unlock them.
Posted by Pixy Misa at February 2, 2006 02:58 AMOne thing you can do is to update the post with a link to a brand new post and let people know that they can follow the link to see recent comments and add their own.
Posted by Ted at February 2, 2006 11:05 AMYou could also just change the post date to make it appear with the current postings.
Posted by Madfish Willie at February 2, 2006 04:42 PMThanks for the suggestions. I'll probably edit the original post and have a link to a newer post that people can still comment in.
