Good News Everyone!

The Jawaserver has arrived (it's called Namo, in case anyone's interested), and I'm setting it up now.

It's kind of slow - it's a 1.7GHz P4 Celeron, and it runs at about half the speed of the 2.8GHz Pentium D's that power Kei and Yuri. And it's a single core, so Kei and Yuri (which are dual-core) are effectively four times as fast.

But it only has to host one blog, so it should be able to cope.

If you want it to forget you, just blank out the fields and hit post.

I should have chosen a series with more girls in it, though. Wasn't planning to have four munu servers so soon.

What series is that?

PS: When I hit the "i" button in the Minx comment editor, and it's already in italics mode, it doesn't toggle. But it works if I select italicized text and hit "i".

Ehem. Notice the %20 in my name? Just sayin'...

How did you get the %20 in your name?  It shouldn't do that.  Darn.

You're right about the italics button.  There's an update for the editor available; I'll download it and see if that's been fixed.

Hmm. The %20 seems to have been a one-time thing. I corrected it, and now it seems to work.

The series is called Dirty Pair. Mughi is the big cat-bear thing you can see on the cover of volume 6; Namo is the robot with the feet on volume 7.

Kei is the redhead; Yuri the brunette.  Uh, bluette, in those pictures.

I'll check it out; it's probably an encoding thing with pre-existing MT cookies.  I'm trying to keep Minx as compatible as possible, and sometimes that takes a bit of fiddling.

Aha!  Fixed the caching issue.  It was checking if the post ID was set - it doesn't cache individual post pages, only the main blog pages.  Well, the post ID was set alright, to zero.

Fixed. :)

I just noticed that italics appears in Minx but not in MT? What's with that?

I bet that non-index pages never get updated unless someone posts a comment. Let's test that...

Yup. There're all the comments!

Under Firefox, the editor produces <span> tags for most attributes, which is retarded.  MT is removing the span tags.

I'm going to fix that... at somet point.

Ah, I understand. Knowledge is power.

You know what else? When I manually insert <i> tags, the editor changes them to <span> tags! So nice of it...

(This comment is posted in MT, if you're wondering about the italics.)

I'm just playing with the Minx comments...don't mind me.  Does this mean you're going to change your "name" to Pixy Minx?

Hey, I can fake blockquotes with the SUB tag, if the blockquotes don't work!
