We're getting spammed through the Minx comments. It has only a trivial spam-prevention mechanism right now, and it looks like they've gotten around it.
Time to take it to level two, I guess. Before we go live, or anything like that...

Wordpress doesn't support multiple blogs. There are efforts in that direction, but they're not making a whole lot of progress.
Running 250 Wordpress blogs would be a nightmare. Not for you, but for me. Running 250 blogs in Minx is no harder than running one.
Also, Wordpress sucks.

Wordpress is hopelessly non-viable. Movable Type 3.x and Expression Engine would work, but have license restrictions that prevent us from using them. LifeType is a mess, with plugins required for basic functionality. And everything else is even worse.

You know the old saying... If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself. Pixy, you are taking that to a whole new level. 
Okay, level 1.5 didn't work. Let's see what level 2 does.
