I had a thought about the Minx blacklist. You've probably had the same thought, if not a better one, but here it goes: Each blog should have it's own blacklist but if enough blogs ban the same URL, it should go on a master blacklist. That way we can have personal blacklists, isolate any problems created, and take advantage of numbers to figure out who are the bad guys.

Yeah, I'm thinking along those lines. Multiple weighted spam lists. You'll be able to subscribe to selected lists, or to a collection of lists, or something like that.

But the other thing that works well on large volumes of spam is automated statistical processing. It was great for trackbacks - until it got killed during the DDOS attack - and I want to see how it goes with comments.
