Search error and characters errors

One thing I've noticed since the "switch" is that many letter characters have changed. For instance, apostrophes and characters with accents are now all buggy. Here's an example from an old archived post of ours :

Arthur Chrenkoff, whose "Good News from Iraq" was a fantastic alternative to what you usually would see in the mainstream media, is saying adiós to the blogosphere.

Check the highlighted underlined word. There are many of these throughout the blog now.

Also, the search function now brings up "Error 500: Bugger." FYI.

I'm having that problem with quotes etc, and I know Bou is too.

I have a "’" showing up in place of apostrophes.  But it seems only in places where I have blockquotes.  And only in some, not all.

Wicked weird.

I'm having the apostophe and quotation mark problems, too. I have only noted it within blockquotes so far.

Well, the search is fixed now.

Still need to work on the squigglies. ;)
