Dear Munivianans,
I've been working on setting up my new mu.nu site for six hours now, and I've hit a gumption trap. I could really use some tech help at this point. Check out my blog at tryingtogrok.mu.nu to visualize my problem.
I'd like to get the sidebar to be a little thinner, but I certainly can't figure out how to do that. I'd like it if the dotted line were right up next to the photo of me so that there isn't so much wasted white space. Does anyone know how to do that?
I'd also like to archive by topic, which I see some have done. I'm sure it's something really easy, but I'm too burned out at this point to figure it out myself.
I'm almost there...
Sarah
UPDATE:
Thanks for the tips, everyone. I think I've got it figured out. Come Monday I'll officially be moving over...
Posted by Sarah at February 28, 2004 03:37 PM | TrackBackSarah, I'm sure some fine help is on the way. My normal method is 'guess and by golly'. Lots of frustration and the occasional "eureka!" moment.
If you look under the... hmmmm... the category list on Munuviana is missing. There's been a bunch of good tech posts here under that category.
Mr. Pixy, Sir?

Hmm. In your stylesheet, under #content, it specifies that the content part takes up 65% of the width of the page. You can try increasing that a bit. Of you can try setting a fixed width for your sidebar, only I don't remember exactly how to do that.
Hang on, I did it for my blog!
Try putting
width:280px;
under the #links section, and take the width: 65% out of the content section. That should either fix it or destroy it completely.
