Blogrolling & Liberals

First, liberals: I have been wanting to post something about this for a while, and based on a recent post, I’m kind of excited to do so now.

I went through all of the mu.nu blogs recently only to realize that I was likely the only democrat/liberal (those two are not always connected, but I’m using them that way for the sake of argument). Then, I saw this comment on this post:

Wait a minute. I thought *I* was the token liberal.

I’ve always been curious how many of us there were, if any. Honestly, like Jen, I thought I was the only one. I don’t want to stir up a political debate, but I am curious if anyone else here leans left…you know, voting for Kerry/Edwards?

*ducking*

On to the Blogrolling thing: I would have posted a question asking if anyone had the OPML code to import to Blogrolling, but I’ve actually enjoyed perusing the Munuvian sites. I’m switching the mu.nu roll over to Blogrolling so that recently updated sites can be flagged. I really like that feature with Blogrolling and find it to be useful so that I’m not visiting sites that haven’t been updated in a few days. I’m not quite done adding everyone (my, there are a lot of you), but I think it’s going to work out really well to showcase blogs that update frequently. I think I can share the OPML if anyone has Blogrolling Gold and wants to import the code into their own blogroll.

The only issue I’m going to have with this is that I won’t know who the new Munuvians are. Other than adding them to the mu.nu blogroll and their occasional hello here, is there any way to know when they come on board? I’m fairly new here, so don’t shoot me if this seems like a stupid question.

I think that’s about it for now. Hope you’re all doing well. :)

I check the right hand column for new Mu's every once in a while. Low-tech, that's me!

Oh, and like most folks, I've got my lefty-issues and my righty-issues. On the balance I'd say I'm anti-stoopid, and right now the Dems are out-dumbing the Repubs.

Hello! *Waving hands frantically* Democrat here. I may be married to a Republican (Frinklin of Frinklin Speaks), but I'm definately still a Democrat. I'm having a hard time with the Kerry/Edwards thing...I'll have to get back to you on that, once we're closer to the election.

I was feeling rather lonely too...glad you spoke up, although I still love the conservative MuNus too!

I was actually kidding about the token liberal stuff, but I'm glad it fostered the conversation. Munuvia welcomes all political stripes. Within reason.

Kidding=teasing.

I actually am a Democrat. Just trying to clarify. I'll shut up now.

Thanks for the clarification. That was kind of confusing. :)

Ted put it well. MuNu isn't Democrat or Republican, it's anti-stoopid. :)

After all, I'm an Australian, so neither the Dems nor the Reps make a whole lot of sense to me. :P

Pixy--I'm an American, and sometimes they make absolutely no sense to me!

LOL It's all relative, isn't it? Alright. I was just curious how many of us there were. That's all.

The mu.nu Blogrolling blogroll is up now and looks great, now that I can see who updates. I struggled with what time limit I wanted. 24 hours seemed to be too much, but the usual 3 hours I have on everyone else seemed too little. So, it's whoever has updated in the last 12 hours.

For the record: liberal, registered Democrat...I imagine I'd be called a moonbat for a lot of my beliefs, actually.

I guess that would depend on the belief, nic.

She believes in 'sensible' shoes.

And sealing wax too. :)

I consider myself a Federalist and a patriot with some socially liberal leanings. And definately an anti-stoopid extremist! :)

You do realize that all of us right-wing nuts are now required to crush your dissent, right?

(I'm kidding, obviously)

This is the only time in blogland that I am saying this:

Liberal Democrat here, too.

And one of the first personal blogs on mu.nu (I think the only one before me was Stevie!)

OK I know this is off topic, but I've got Blogrolling gold and would love to OPHL or whatever into a Munu blogroll. How do I get the code from you????

I'm an ultra-right wing Democrat. Either that or a hopelessly liberal Republican. Screw it; just mark me down as non-denominational. Better yet, politically agnostic.
