I think everything's working - except for my blog, which has the hiccups.
If anything isn't working, post or comment here, or email me at andrew -at- pixymisa -dot- net, and I'll get it fixed.
The one problem you might have is with DNS, which should have updated by now, but can take a little while. But post/comment/email anyway, and I'll let you know if it's a real problem or if you just need to sleep in a couple more hours. :)
Oh yes: If you have a Wordpress blog and suddenly all your posts since June have disappeared, don't panic! It just means I've restored the wrong database. All the Wordpress blogs have their own databases, and following all the moving around we did during the DDoS attacks, we ended up with two copies of each. So depending on which server you started out on, and which server you ended up on, I might not have loaded the right database for you. But I do have copies of everything, so all it means is that I have to grab the other copy and load it up (which takes all of 30 seconds).
Posted by Pixy Misa at October 8, 2006 08:15 AMThe move did fix that email problem just as you predicted.
Thanks.
We were originally set to move two months ago, and then I got bushwacked.
Well, at least we're back on track now.
Posted by Pixy Misa at October 8, 2006 11:51 AM.. hey, Pixy... my search function isn't working... blacklist seems to be down... and my site is filled with lots of strange characters where my elipses should be.. huh?...
Posted by Eric at October 8, 2006 12:49 PMI'll check on the search. I had to turn it off a while back because it was eating all our memory, but I thought I'd replaced it with a new program.
Blacklist seems to be working for me - now. What problems are you having?
Now, as for your poor ellipses, they really did get messed up. I'll have to write a little program to run through and fix them all for you. You could use … instead: … That's more resistant to messer-upperers.

Posted by Pixy Misa at October 8, 2006 01:10 PMMy DNS maybe one of the ones not working quite right. Treygivens.mu.nu seems to be going to americanwarmonger.mu.nu.
Can I please go back to sleep?
Posted by Trey Givens at October 8, 2006 01:13 PMSorry, that's something actually broken. No sleep for you!
I'll go see what's happened.
Posted by Pixy Misa at October 8, 2006 01:15 PMBy the way, Eric, do you write your posts in Word and then paste them in? Just wondering how that happened. It should still work, but obviously it didn't.
Posted by Pixy Misa at October 8, 2006 01:16 PMOkay, Trey, you're back on the air! It somehow lost the alias that mapped your account to your other account...
American Warmonger comes up by default because it's the first username in alphabetical order, and if the server can't find the right site, it just shows the first one. I've switched things around so that it comes up with the main munu page instead, which is a bit less confusing.
Posted by Pixy Misa at October 8, 2006 01:27 PMHmm. Eric, looks like you're not the only one that has messed-up symbols. Can you help me match up what's showing now with what it should be?
Then I can run a little program that can fix it for everyone.
Posted by Pixy Misa at October 8, 2006 01:30 PMI'm off to bed now - it's been a long day - but I will be back to fix everything in the morning.
Posted by Pixy Misa at October 8, 2006 01:52 PMEverything seems fine. Just curious, how does this move affect comments, if at all. I get complaints that the comment function seems broken quite often.
Posted by Steve Janke at October 8, 2006 03:20 PM... hey, Pixy... sorry for the delay in getting back to you...
... but to answer your question, normally I compose a post in Outlook (which, I suppose is using a form of MS Word)...
... hope that helps...
Posted by Eric at October 8, 2006 04:08 PMHi Pixy!
Well, my sight has disappeared I think. The main page comes up with a database error, and a subdomain I have, wspr.nickqueen.com, goes to the mu.nu page. Weirdness!
Posted by Nick at October 8, 2006 10:50 PMOops. That's no good. I'll get it fixed for you.
Posted by Pixy Misa at October 8, 2006 11:09 PMPixy- I put that I had a case of the squigglies in the above post and just looked here. I do write mine in word first before I post. I notice Eric said he writes his in Outlook. I don't know about Teresa. That could be the common denominator. But I still have a squiggly problem in the section that allows readers to look at comments without posting one. That would be a template issue.
Posted by Bou at October 9, 2006 12:04 AMNick - your blogs should be back up now. Let me know if I've got the right ones this time.
Posted by Pixy Misa at October 9, 2006 01:42 AMSteve - the problem with comments is that when we get flooded with spam, the comments get switched off to prevent the server collapsing. They get switched on again after a minute, but if we're still getting spam-flooded, they could get switched off again right away.
I haven't enabled this yet on the new servers, so we'll see how we go. One alternative is to use the new comment system (as seen on Ace of Spades and the Jawa Report), but that doesn't update the comment count on your main page yet.
