How does one go about joining the super-sikret and ancient order of the Minx beta testing fraternity? I'm willing to learn the handshake, but might have to reconsider pledging if there are any thinly veiled homo-erotic paddling rituals. Rusty just don't swing that way....
It's not so that MT makes me want to claw my own eyeballs out. Fortnightly. It's more the feeling of superiority from being the first on my block to have Minx.
Minx is some sort of new robot-mounted lazer of some sort, right?
Hmmmm....seems I've exceeded my bandwidth. No sure how that happened or what I need to do about it but can someone help me please?
Better now, thankyouverymuch!!!!

1. Cleaned up scads of spam on previous postings of mine on this blog. Also closed off comments to prevent future spam accretion.
2. Check out stevejanke.com (aka angrygwn.mu.nu). See how dangerous a little knowledge is? Need to re-implement the blogrolls next.
3. To Pixy - where are we on the 301 redirect? I'm looking at Google Analytics, and 24% of my traffic is direct to stevejanke.com (and www.stevejanke.com), while a further 16% is coming from that other domain, ie, angrygwn.mu.nu. Obviously these are the same and I'm looking forward to see the SEO effect of redirecting all the traffic to stevejanke.com so that Google combines the link and traffic numbers.**
** To search engine newbies, remember that Google ranking is, fundamentally, a function of the number of inbound links. Any links to angrygwn.mu.nu are seen as to a different site because I've parked stevejanke.com on it. So to Google, each of these two sites are different and have, say, 200 links each, and are ranked accordingly. With a 301 redirect, Google treats the sites as the same, and credits the main site (stevejanke.com) with all the links from the other domain (angrygwn.mu.nu). Now with 400 inbound links, I zip up the rankings.
HELP! The last two days we've been hammered by spam from the following culprits:

The comment text is:

and

I'd add to blacklist myself, but I've no idea and I don't want to muck up the works.
Where can I find my Blog ID Value?
I've just added a search function and need to know my Blog ID value so I can define it in my template. Otherwise the search function will search someone else's blog as it's doing now. I thought it was 59 but I see now that it isn't. I've also tried a few other numbers and gave up. I figured its better to ask than to assume. : )
Thank you in advance! "I've always depended on the kindness of strangers."
Hi all. I am a relatively new Munuvian, and I keep having the same problem. I am unable to view my blog perhaps 70% of the times I try. I keep getting the same internet explorer message - The website is encountering problems. While some of my readers have expressed the same problem, others say they have no problem at all. I haven't a clue what the problem could be. Any help/ideas anyone could offer would be most appreciated.
Now the spam filter is catching the word FREE in the comments... Free? as in Freedom?
What gives?

We're expecting a power outage on Akane between 5am and 7am CST today. Shouldn't last very long, and I'll be making sure that everything comes back okay.
Sorry about the short notice - I thought it wasn't for a few more days.
Update: Okay, that was it. All done now, so hopefully we won't have any more outages for a while.
Sorry about the Fluffy-induced comment outage. I'm not quite sure what happened, but the comments clearly did not get re-enabled correctly after a wave of spam earlier today. Fixed now.
The delay in fixing this was because I was out... at an important meeting... demonstrating Minx to my business partner.
Beta test starts next week. :)
Pixy -
I was wondering if you could help me out. How do I access my c panel account so I can do some IP blocking?
I have no idea where the info you sent me when you first set up my blog is ( I know, Linda from Auterrific already chastised me!).
Any help you can provide would be gratefully appreciated!
Thanks In Advance
